● Actively promote the well-being of all students and be familiar with, and uphold all, safeguarding policies and reporting lines and procedures within the college.
● Take responsibility for upholding health and safety practices, completing risk assessments/near misses or accident reports as appropriate.
● Undertake student supervisory duties as required and necessary, ensuring effective ‘duty of care’.
● Supervising work that has been set by the class teacher in accordance with the school’s teaching and learning policy.
● Responding to any questions from students about process and procedures.
● Follow behaviour management policy and procedures, focused on positive behaviour and restorative solutions.
● Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
● Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of students during the class, and any issues arising.
● Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the School and across the college.
● Supervise students during break time or lunch time, in and around the school in the public areas.
● Supervise students during single day residential trips.

Dulwich College Beijing is honoured to announce they have been named British International School of the Year, 2011, which is part of the Independent School Awards. This award is based on Dulwich fulfilling the criteria of being an inspirational school based outside of the UK, that espouses a British education, and has made a strategic or financial achievement of note. You may read the full story in our School News.In August 2005, Dulwich College first opened its doors to students in Beijing. Since then the College has grown and now has over 1300 students on roll ranging in age from 12 months to 18 years.We are a British International school offering a curriculum based upon the English National Curriculum up to Year 9, IGCSE courses for students in Years 10 and 11, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma for our senior students in Years 12 and 13. Our curriculum is suitably adapted to reflect the needs of students in an international school and extends well beyond the formal classroom with a strong emphasis on the development of the individual. All students study compulsory Mandarin Chinese up to the end of Year 9, with many continuing with this as an examination subject in the senior years.The College main campus is at Legend Garden, next to the Wen Yu river, ten minutes from the airport, and just off the expressway leading downtown. Legend Garden has extensive sports grounds and state of the art facilities to support all aspects of our curriculum, and all students from Year 3 up come to this campus. Many visitors comment on the atmosphere on all of our campuses which is open and friendly with students and staff working co-operatively together.
