Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research & Supplier Identification:
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers in target countries.
    • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery reliability, and compliance with company standards and international regulations.
  2. Negotiation & Contract Management:
    • Use English as the primary working language to negotiate terms of purchase, including price, delivery schedules, payment terms, and quality assurance protocols.
    • Draft and review purchase contracts, ensuring all legal and commercial aspects are covered.
    • Manage the entire contracting process from initial offer to final agreement, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
  3. Order Management:
    • Place orders with selected suppliers, ensuring clear communication of specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
    • Monitor order progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly and effectively.
    • Coordinate with logistics teams for seamless importation and customs clearance of goods.
  4. Cost Savings & Efficiency Improvements:
    • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs through volume discounts, alternative sourcing, or negotiation of better terms.
    • Implement procurement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure incoming materials meet company standards and industry regulations.
    • Manage quality control inspections and address any quality discrepancies with suppliers.
  6. Relationship Building:
    • Foster strong, long-term relationships with international suppliers through regular communication, visits (when possible), and performance reviews.
    • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to network and explore new partnerships.
  7. Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with international trade laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments for potential suppliers and transactions, implementing mitigation measures as necessary.
  8. Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare regular procurement reports, highlighting key performance indicators, cost savings achievements, and market trends.
    • Use data analysis to identify procurement inefficiencies and propose improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in international procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to conduct complex business negotiations in English.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ability to travel internationally for supplier meetings and quality audits.
