Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Reports to: GM, Asia Pacific
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing engineering support to customers in China and SEA for both Pre sales and After Sales. The successful candidate will be able to work in a multi-cultural, industry focused, team environment providing engineering recommendations in support of the teams sales initiatives. This person must be exceptionally self-managed and self-motivated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited the following:
? Work closely with sales team to understand customer’s technical requirements/needs, and enhance their comprehension of product application.
? Provide technical support to EPC, DI, Customer and Reseller, and the internal sales team, parts team on product offering and technical communication & training
? Focus on product application field research & case study for typical customer
? Participate in the marketing events, exhibition, and industry seminars, collect and analyses up-to-date information from the market
? Keep up to date in relation to and competitors’ product performance, product & market development
? Provide input (editing, translation & verification) into technical and marketing material
? Visit key customers in conjunction with the sales teams to provide in depth product knowledge. This will include developing direct customer relationships with key clients and helping the aftermarket teams to troubleshoot technical problems
? Crushing Plant Design related work, such as flowsheet, layout, equipment selection, operation cost analysis. Providing proposal on the design (Process and Layout) of large scale/complicated plant. Providing technical support on the customer’s plant design and construction after sales including check and comment customer’s design drawings
? Technical documentation preparing, such as Project Proposal, Bidding document, Equipment/Process Presentation, Competition Analysis/Comparison, etc
? Create and present high level technical presentations to customers
? Support sales team to increase customers’ satisfaction and help sales to smooth close the projects
? Filed troubleshooting, repairing, maintenance, installation, commissioning, etc.
? Regularly to visit customer/epc/di/reseller to develop, build and maintain relationship to improve customer satisfaction
? Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or above; and a minimum of 3 years related mechanical experience.
Skills/Experience
? Frequent travel required (ability to occasionally travel international)
? Strong ability to conceptualize and articulate mechanical concepts
? Familiar with crusher and screening, material handling, especial for coal are preferred
? Proficient computer skills in MS office and basic mail system
? Good team player to help company to build excellent working environment
? Ability to read and create mechanical drawings in AutoCAD or other CAD software would be a plus
? Commercial experience would be a plus
? Native Mandarin Chinese & Business level English, especially in written
