We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer
with a focus on stamping processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stamping operations, tooling, and process optimization. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and optimize stamping processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement
stamping tools, dies, and fixtures.
3. Analyze and troubleshoot stamping process issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
4. Monitor and maintain stamping equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
5. Develop and implement process control plans, including quality checks and inspection procedures.
6. Work closely with suppliers to ensure materials and components meet quality standards and delivery schedules.
7. Continuously improve safety standards and practices within the stamping operations.
8. Support new product development by providing stamping expertise and process feasibility assessments.
9. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on stamping processes and best practices.
10. Prepare and review technical documentation, including process sheets, work instructions, and maintenance manuals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in stamping processes within a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
4. Strong knowledge of stamping materials, tooling, and equipment.
5. Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
9. Experience with CAD/CAM systems and process simulation software is a plus.
