Key Job Areas of Responsibilities:
1. Product development:
Work closely with global inverter team to understand our inverter design features, capabilities, specs…etc to identify the major risks of the integration work for our fuel cell compressor.
Work closely with local product/design engineers to manage the interfaces between the inverter and fuel cell compressor, make sure the right design is implemented and the major risks are mitigated via DFEMA, experts meetings, simulations, concept testings
2. Validation Testing:
Design, plan, and execute validation tests for various products – FCC development.
Develop and implement test protocols to assess performance, durability, and reliability.
Conduct tests using appropriate test equipment and methodologies.
3. Project Management:
Lead and manage validation projects from inception to completion.
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze test data to identify performance trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation on validation findings.
Present results and recommendations to engineering teams and management.
5. Test Equipment and Instrumentation:
Select and set up appropriate test equipment and instrumentation for validation activities.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
6. Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate and diagnose issues arising from validation tests.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to resolve issues.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of validation activities.
Communicate validation plans, progress, and results to stakeholders.
Facilitate meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
8. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving validation processes and methodologies.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to validation engineering.
9. Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all validation activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Maintain adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the validation process.
Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field – proven experience in the automotive validation and development field is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in validation or testing engineering.
Experience in project management is a plus.
Key Skills and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of validation engineering principles and practices. knowing the test standards for inverters.
Proficiency in using test equipment and data acquisition systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and testing protocols.
Project Management Skills:
Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana). is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed for testing and validation activities.
