German Mechanical Engineering Commercial Services Co., Ltd. (GMECS) is the official service provider for VDMA China, a prestigious association that boasts Europe's largest network of mechanical engineering companies. With over 3500 corporate members and headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, VDMA encompasses 35 sub-sectors, representing a diverse range of mechanical engineering industries. VDMA's presence in China is marked by offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
GMECS, as the service arm of VDMA, is dedicated to supporting member companies through a variety of activities and events. We have recently strengthened our business, services, and events, and are now poised to expand our digital services for members and customers in China. Our goal is to enhance our digital sales and marketing strategies to increase our market visibility. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Developer Digital Marketing. This role is pivotal in driving business growth and ensuring timely project delivery to our clients. We pride ourselves on our high standards of work ethics and commitment to providing top-tier service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with a team of seasoned managers to develop and execute digital marketing strategies.
2. Report directly to the Branch Manager of GMECS Shanghai.
3. Play a key role in shaping the business strategy, planning, sales, and marketing for GMECS, with a focus on digital platforms and social media engagement.
4. Foster and develop relationships with both existing and new partners to expand our network and influence.

2. Strong digital marketing skills, including experience with digital platforms and social media.

Job Description:

I. Business Development

1. Analyze potential customer needs and identify market opportunities.
2. Innovatively develop diverse sales channels to expand market coverage.
3. Design and implement effective sales strategies, leveraging social media and marketing tools to promote products/services.
4. Drive sales performance to achieve set targets.
5. Provide high-quality service experiences at the client end, planning and executing relevant activities.
6. Build and deepen customer relationship networks to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7.Coordinate internal and external resources to effectively manage business meetings and events.
8. Maintain and expand the GMECS partner ecosystem, strengthening cooperative relationships.
9. Advance the implementation of business activities and training projects, ensuring alignment with branch strategic goals.
10. Lead the exploration of emerging markets, opening up new business partners and sponsorship sources.
11. Contribute to the strategic planning and development of GMECS in China, supporting overall business growth.

II. Digital Marketing:

1. Sales of digital services to industrial companies with machinery and equipment background and to the whole network of existing clients and newly developed clients.
2. Professionalizing marketing strategies of GMECS for physical events and digital services and platforms.
3. Managing projects on hand.
4. Implement Digital Marketing Strategies: Carry out specific marketing campaigns in alignment with the company's digital marketing roadmap, including SEO optimization, SEM advertising, social media outreach, email marketing, and more.
5. Manage and Optimize Digital Channels: Oversee and enhance our marketing presence across various digital platforms, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination. Analyze channel performance and propose strategic optimizations.
6. Content Creation & Publishing: Craft compelling marketing copy, including product descriptions, event promotions, and press releases, ensuring they align with our brand identity and marketing goals. Publish content across our digital platforms.
7. Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analysis tools to monitor and interpret the performance of digital marketing activities, such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and user engagement. Regularly report findings and propose improvements.
8.Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of digital marketing campaigns. Gather feedback and continuously refine strategies.

Requirements

I. Education and Experience:

1. Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration or Marketing.
2. Preferred Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in sales of services, event management, project management, digital marketing, or professional training consulting services.

II. Industry and Technical Skills:

1. Industry Network: A strong network within the mechanical engineering industry is advantageous.
2. B2B Social Media Campaigns: Experience in executing B2B social media campaigns.
3. Sales and Marketing Expertise: A solid background in sales and marketing.
4. Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively in business settings.
5. Creative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively.
6. Video Editing: Proficiency in video editing.
7. Script Writing: Skilled in script writing for social media campaigns.
8. Administrative and Organizational Skills: Excellent administration and organizational abilities.
9. Time Management: Strong time management skills.
10. Planning and Budgeting: Proficient in planning and budgeting.
11. KOL Experience: Working experience with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in China is a plus.
12. Copywriting Skills: A proven track record in copywriting, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive marketing content.
13. Digital Marketing Tools: Proficiency in digital marketing tools and data analysis platforms such as Google Analytics, Baidu Statistics, etc.

III. Communication and Teamwork:

1. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
2. Collaborative Mindset: Adept at working effectively with cross-functional teams.
3. International Environment: Comfortable working in an international environment.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Chinese, both orally and in writing; knowledge of German is a bonus.
5. Technical Proficiency: Competent in MS Office, Photoshop, and other design or editing software.
6. Team Spirit: A strong team player.
7. Personal Attributes: Outgoing, ambitious, and highly motivated.
